Goa State Commission on climate resilience and water security

“This House recommends the Government to constitute a Goa State Commission on climate resilience and water security to study the impact of climate change on Goa’s water resources, coastlines, agriculture and bio-diversity and to formulate a comprehensive long- term strategy for water conservation, flood management and ecological sustainability.”

Revive the de-funct Communidades

“This House strongly recommends the Government to take immediate steps to revive the de-funct Communidades in South Goa. Communidade is a rich legacy of Goa and has to be preserved to safeguard our land and to stop illegal encroachments. The communidades which have not had any meetings or do not have a functioning committee should be assigned to a designated Administrative Officer and the same should be revived immediately.”

“This House strongly recommends the Government to name one of the stands at Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium at Fatorda in honour of former Sports Minister Shri Francisco Monte Cruz, as he had put in lot of efforts to ensure that the stadium is completed in a record period of six months time and was opened in the year 1989 to host the prestigious Nehru Gold Cup, the 1st International Football Tournament in Goa and after which the Stadium could host various National and International Football and Cricket matches. It was only due to his efforts with personal supervision, timely effective decisions and motivation to the team involved in the construction work, which has yielded positive results and has helped the Sports Fraternity immensely”.

 “This House unanimously resolves that sufficient funds in the form of grants be made available to the aided Schools for construction of compound wall and providing C.C.T.V. in the School premises in order to provide security to the children in view of the increase in the crime against School children.”

Legalise production of Cannabis

  1. furnish details of Sports Infrastructure available in Goa for various categories of Sports with names, address, type of Infrastructure and expenditure incurred on each Sports Facility/Sports Infrastructure in the State; furnish details of the present condition of various Complexes of Sports Infrastructure in Goa such as Stadiums, Indoor Stadiums, Jogging Tracks, Badminton Courts, Swimming Pools and Tennis Courts;
  2. whether any of the Complexes/Sports Facilities are not in operation; if so, furnish details of all such Complexes/Sports facilities which are non-operational from 2020 till date; furnish details with reasons for the non-operation of the Sports Complex and Sports facilities; whether any Sports Infrastructure is incomplete or in abandoned condition in Goa from 2022 till date; furnish details of all such Complexes/Sports facilities;
  3. whether the Government has taken any steps to make operational the Sports Complexes, Sports facilities and Sports Infrastructure which are not in operation from 2020 till date; furnish all the relevant details with details of expenditure incurred on each project; the time frame by which the Complexes will be made operational, furnish details of each case separately;
